Who is Diablo ?
Diablo is the Spanish word for ‘devil’.He has two more brothers Baal and Mephisto.Together they try eating up humanity whenever they can and while they are at it we get a great game from Blizzard studios where we can take on the role of a hero and whoop their a$$es.We also get the opportunity to play collaboratively on battle.net with some more hero wannabes who inturn call in some more hero wannabes and together we all can whoop devil a$$ once again.
What happened in Diablo – the first game ?

Set in the fictional Kingdom of Khanduras (located in the Diablo series fantasy world of Sanctuary), Diablo has the player take control of a lone hero as he or she battles to rid the world of the eponymous Lord of Terror. Why are we -the diablo fans so excited??
Diablo is game that keeps you busy hour after hour,day after day,year after year.Its unique gameplay and scripted automatic replayability has kept players and fans worldwide glued to the PC even today.But there was a sad twist.Just when Diablo 2 had been declared one of the best ever,the house at Blizzard decided to split.A few good men(reportedly the entire Diablo team) broke off and went on to create Flagship studios which churned out a game called Hellgate London which was a spiritual continuation of the diablo series set in a post apocalyptic future London.The game bombed at the box office even though the gameplay largely borrowed its lineage from Diablo.The players as well did not receive this game well and the game was largely doomed.However it appears that Blizzard still pulled it up well with the new guys and the show was still on.Blizzard never confirmed the existence of the Diablo project until recently even though the fansites dug up information of the various orchestra recordings for the soundtracks.Anyway judging by the gameplay video available here looks like its going to be a blast.Also its a major win for PC since Blizzard confirmed that they are not thinking of a console edition.We the PC gamers always have thought that the cosoles are the trans-sexuals or she-males of the video game industry and playing games on them is equivalent to participating in tranny orgies.Thanks to blizzard for the bold statement ! We had our hopes high on UT3 but they also decided to bring out a transgender version(read console version) of the game thereby hugely disappointing us.So all said and done we have enough reasons to cheer ……
What are the concerns?
Well the concerns here are immense and I will draw a lot of parallels with the other great game of our time – the unreal tournament and its latest avtaar the Unreal Tournament 3.Unreal tournament was the ultimate in FPS…when it was released it was a head on competitor of Quake 3 and pwned it pretty much except in the graphics department.So when after a long long wait there were talks of Unreal Tournament 2003 there was mass hysteria.Even some batshit crazy fans in japan went on rampage demanding prompt release of the game.But when the game was release it offered an experience better described as hearing the sound of the toilet flush away your shit.Epic was soon to mend it and we had UT 2004 soon enough.Though it was a good game which introduced Vehicular warfare for the first time,yet it didn’t have that thrill,characters with personality and history and of course the ‘doof doof’ music.It was not until UT3 till we got back our sense of pwnage.But again that was just another UT with good graphics.If you have read this far you must have understood that the expectation from Diablo 3 is not only a graphics charged Diablo 2 in thongs but a continuing story, rich music and gameplay experience like.no.other.Whether it lives upto our expectations or its legacy only time will tell but for now the gameplay video looks extremely promising.And somehow I feel that witch doctor guy is soon going to become a rage among the sadistically challenged in ‘bed’.

WOW, they improved greatly. I used to remember playing diablo constantly when I was in middle school.
I was addicted to Diablo II 5 years back when I was in 4th standard.Atlast blizzard announced Diablo III.I am so happy,I think it will release after January 2009.
